Orlande de Lassus, The Choir Orlando di Lasso (various other names; probably c. – 14 June ) was a composer of the late Renaissance. The chief representative of the mature polyphonic style in the Franco-Flemish school, Lassus stands with William Byrd, Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, and Tomás Luis de Victoria as one of the leading composers of the later Renaissance.
Nothing is known about when Orlande de Lassus was a renowned 16th century composer of Franco-Flemish origin. He was one of the most influential musicians of the 16th century and his works dominated European music during the Renaissance era.
